The beaches of Golf de Roses are internationally known for its magnificent spots for this spectacular sport.
The sea wind is the predominant but the best known is the Tramuntana, a particularly
strong wind from the north that passes 100km/h quite often.
As the gulf is fairly closed, it offers more security than more open spots.
In addition it it's sands are fine and there are few rocky areas that could damage our equipment.
The area has two International Windsurfing competitions in Sant Pere Pescador and Castelló d' Empúries.
